Continuing Online Only

Wednesday 10th February, 2021

In anticipation of the Welsh Government decision to close schools back in January, we decided as a service that we would move our entire music provision to online-only for the duration of the upcoming lockdown.

3 weeks in and the mammoth task of moving as many pupils from face-to-face music lessons in school, to online music lesson via Microsoft Teams has been a huge success, supported by both Denbighshire and Wrexham authorities.

Last term was our first term back in schools following the initial outbreak in March last year, and a lot of hard work went into ensuring our tutors could deliver lessons safely in schools. However, we also developed a switching service called Encore, in anticipation of further lockdowns and school closures.

Come January 2021, and our Encore service was in full-swing, with hundreds of parents contacted, and offered their child’s music lessons be moved online temporarily, at no extra cost.

We now have well over 500 pupils a week continuing with their music lessons remotely, be it at home, or in school for key worker/vulnerable children. The whole term, our tutors have remained safe at home, further utilising our Microsoft Teams platform to deliver lessons in a safe and secure environment. We have more pupils booking in each day!

If you would like more information about our Encore service, or having online music lessons – please contact us today via the contact page on our website.
